Condense

What is it?
You will receive a condensed Redraft. It has to fit a given length, usually a maximum number of words. Therefore it has to cut out the less important points so as to fit that length. It selects what is important from the original and writes about that concisely. Use the Condense service if you are called on to provide a Summary, Abstract, Synopsis, Précis or Résumé.

For what kinds of writing is a Summary specially suitable?
Many readers need a summary of a subject. It may be because they are short of time, or want to decide first whether to read the detail, or because they will have to read it all but want an overview first. Long reports need summaries. A correspondence file, the history of a case, or options to put before a Board, may be received better with a summary. Most of these will be too long for your free trial, but send us one if you like; mark which section up to 300 words you want condensed. If you approve, ask us to do the whole job.
