Edit

What is it?
A commentary on grammar, punctuation, spelling, layout and style. Drafters who edit their own writing, colleagues who look it over, technical authors and senior managers who also edit, would all find Edit helpful.

Send us your rough draft. If anything is wrong or doubtful, our Edit will say what is incorrect. We shall say what is the objection to your version but leave you to redraft it.

Manager-Editors in industry and commerce tend to reword without saying why the first draft would not do, because they need immediate results, or are unhappy with the draft without knowing why. Such methods are apt in the long run to lose the advantages of delegated writing. Our Edit does not mean reword; for that, use Redraft.

We cater specially for urgent and confidential work.

For what kinds of writing is an Edit specially suitable?
Anything important. Papers where the style and grammar has to be of the highest standard, or where several people have to agree on a document's style and layout. The Edit will highlight points for the authors to consider and leave rewording to them.
